Overview
Well located for guests arriving or departing the city by train, this hostel is situated within a 5-minute walk of the VIA Rail Station and SkyTrain access. The Telus World of Science, Rogers Arena and B.C. Place are all within a 15-minute walk.

All dorm rooms are smoke free and include free Wi-Fi and free linens and towels. Male and female dorm rooms are offered, while private rooms furnished with one queen bed are also available. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are not available.

There is no private parking available on site. The nearest public parking facility is a 6-minute walk away at the Telus World of Science and parking rates are $11 per 6 hours. Pets are not permitted.

Other on-site amenities include a common living room with a TV, a guest computer, a guest kitchen, luggage, ski and bicycle storage, a convenience store, free city maps and organized pub crawls. This property does not have an on-site restaurant.

Downtown Vancouver attractions are about 10 minutes away by public transit (train) and include the Vancouver Art Gallery, Canada Place on the waterfront, the Vancouver Convention Centre, Pacific Centre Shopping Mall and shopping and dining on Robson Street. 

Stanley Park and the Vancouver Aquarium are both about a 10-minute drive away, while the University of B.C. is 16 minutes away by car. The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is a 20-minute drive away. (All walking, driving and public transit time estimates: Google Maps)

Among the reviews used for this analysis, many guests found the hostel conveniently located for accessing the train station and exploring downtown Vancouver.

The staff were frequently complimented for their friendly service, however, several other guests were unhappy with the customer service (see below for more details).

These reviewers described bedding that did not seem clean, unpleasant smells in the rooms and bathrooms and dirty showers. Several guests added that the rooms and common areas appeared dated and in need of renovations.

While many guests found the staff to be friendly, several reviewers disagreed and said that some of the staff members were unfriendly and even rude.
