"No wifi but highspeed cable internet in the rooms. The internet went down during my stay but the staff rebooted the system and brought it up quickly for me. Great location on Robson St. In the heart of the action and within walking distance to the financial district."

"Dreadful experience, Unacceptably Poor customer service"
"I was mortified. Upon arriving in our room, i was disgusted to find that there were SEVERAL, not one, but SEVERAL, hairs in our bathtub. I called the front desk, the female clerk assured me she would submit a complaint to housekeeping, and she offered me the option to change to another room, however, my son who was staying with me that evening, had checked in with me at the front desk, taken his key card and immediately left to a conference he was attending. I explained this to the clerk, letting her know that changing rooms at this time was not a convenient option, as i had no way of reaching my son to inform him, and that he would be returning to the hotel late in the evening and i did not want him to be alarmed. I explained all of this to the clerk, but she never offered to have someone come up and properly clean the washroom. When we were checking out in the morning, the gentleman clerk taking care of us asked us how everything was at the hotel, I explained the situation of the hair in the tub, and that i had spoken to a female clerk the night before about the disgusting situation, and that she had assured me that a complaint would be made to housekeeping, but that no one was sent to up to my room to clean the washroom. The gentleman clerk did NOT see a note on our file that any such complaint had been made by me, so while we waited to check out, he phoned housekeeping and spoke with them. The gentleman clerk told me that should we ever stay in the hotel again, we would be given a voucher for a free breakfast, that there would be a note on our file to suggest this. I believe this entire situation was unacceptable. At the very LEAST, there should have been someone sent to our room to clean the washroom, since moving to another room was not a convenient option for us. I believe a refund was in order, not an offer for a free breakfast sometime in the future. The hotel seemed to be very nice otherwise, and its location is very convenient, our room was spacious and had a nice layout, the beds were comfortable but, having a complete strangers filth in the bathroom for us to see was extremely uncomfortable and off putting. The only way I would stay in this hotel again is if I was to receive a refund for my stay, or an offer for a free nights stay in the future, one would think this to be in order under the circumstances. So until that happens, I can not recommend this hotel. Had my complaint been dealt with properly, I think I would have rated this hotel high, unfortunately, the situation has not been rectified to my satisfaction, which leaves me with a very poor overall experience of comfort and service. I wish I could say different. "

"Only stayed one night, but the Front Desk staff were very informative and friendly. The one server in the restaurant in the morning was very busy, but the food came quickly and he seemed nice enough. My room was very comfortable - I would stay again anytime. Great area for Vancouver nightlife.."

"Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is well appointed and rooms have great views. Beds are very comfortable. The only things in my view that prevent this hotel from getting full marks are the small bathrooms and that the carpets in the hallways are beginning to get that odour that comes of long use. (The room had no unpleasant odour.) These are small drawbacks and I would happily stay here again."

"What a great value! That balcony overlooking Robson St. was the best. We ate at the hotel because the food was so good there was no reason to go elsewhere. I had been expecting that our Vancouver stay would be the most expensive part of our trip, and it was actually right on budget thanks to this great little find."

"It was my parents-in-laws first trip abroad and Blue Horizon brilliantly answered my request for a good view, high floor. Seems to be near everything, including being on Robson St, which was a positive first impression for walking around Vancouver. Staff professional and friendly. Don't expect to do olympic laps in the pool, but it was comfortable none the less. First floor breakfast restaurant was very nice. Easy stroll to a cheap Internet cafe, shopping, restaurants."

"Excellent location, easy access to shopping and quality restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bathrooms could be a bit larger, but rooms were quite comfortable. Views of English Bay were spectacular from the upper level floor where we stayed. Some reviewers complained about street noise, but it was a non-factor for us. I would defintely stay there again and recommend it to friends."
