The Best Western Plus Sands is located in the English Bay area (west-end) of downtown Vancouver. This property is less than 1-block (2-minute walk) from the beach and the Seawall trail system. This hotel is ideal for tourists looking to explore the English Bay area on foot or access downtown Vancouver within a short drive or via public transit.

This hotel is 100% smoke-free and all 120 rooms include free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with pay-per-view movies and video games, an iron and an ironing board, a coffeemaker, an iPod dock, free newspapers, and a mini-fridge.

On-site parking is available for $14 per night. Pets are permitted (in designated rooms) for an additional fee of $15 per night. Pets also receive a welcome gift that includes treats, waste bags, and a toy. Pet beds are also available upon request.

The on-site restaurant, The Park at English Bay, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This hotel also offers an on-site Martini bar and room service. There's live entertainment at the hotel.

There‚Äôs a well-equipped fitness room, sauna and business centre at the hotel. Other on-site amenities include  dry cleaning service (extra fees apply), coin-operated laundry machines, and meeting and banquet space.

The Seawall (2-minute walk away) provides access to Stanley Park (1,000-acre park with hiking and biking trails) within a 7-minute walk or a 3-minute bike ride. The dining and entertainment district in Davie Village is about a 15-minute walk from this hotel.

This property is located on a public transit route and the nearest bus stop is less than a 1-minute walk away. The shopping and dining district (Granville Street at Robson Street) can be reached in 11 minutes via public transit. Downtown area attractions include the Vancouver Art Gallery, Pacific Centre Mall, Queen Elizabeth Theatre (performing arts venue), and the Vancouver Lookout (observation tower with a viewing deck 550 feet above ground).

The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is 25-30 minutes away by car (all travel time estimates: Google Maps).

"not impressed"

"1st they force me to signed a $250 deposit for smoking , I never smoked!!! then they charged me a eco fee! explained that they want to go green, so they charged me extra for garbage disposal, the faucets did not worked, I paid for ocean view room, received garage view, this is a total ripe off. I can say more more. this hotel is wast of time."
