"no rest at hotel grandville."
"i found the hotel was fine for the cost. we only stayed one night and were kept awake until 5am due to a group of noisy hotel gusts whom were partying and yelling all night long. when i called the front desk at 2:30am i was told that someone would look into it. we never heard any decreas in volume, so i don't think that anyone was sent to speak with the oter people."

"a jewel in the city"
"Everything was great, except that we left behind a black elastic strap apparatus by mistake - goes with a CPAP machine that husband needs for breathing at night - and it was not found. I find that hard to believe.
We loved the quietness of the room at night and in the early morning; the room was spotless and cozy as well."

"I find the people superior to the real estate. The Bell hop would literally bend over backwards to help, and to recommend, and to give directions and advice. The daystaff at the front desk, exactly the same. The room service rates are ( as usual ) ridiculous, but the prices in the restaurant are way high too. Especially for the menu.
Luckily you can eat cheap almost everywhere around the hotel.
The streets are scummy and littered with vagrants. A handful of quarters, if you are going for a walk, is a good idea. Many are just broken down people in need of some dough, but lots of them are able- bodied crack heads who just won't work. Them I don't care about.
They are also the most aggressive ones. The hotel has a courtyard in the back of the building, once you cross the alley, and get inside the gate it's fine, but the ladies may have a problem (justifiably so) going thru that dark creepy alley in the evening, or later at night when the freakshow begins.
The room was big and real clean, reasonably quiet, (It is Vancouver after all), I got a special price through the internet, and except for my choice of room, I didn't feel like a second class citizen. The staff is excellent. the building?, ...eh."

"I enjoyed my stay immensely at the Best Western Chateau Granville. It was vlose to all the ammenities that Vancouver's downtown had to offer. Only about 15 min walk from Stanley Park and the sea wall. It was great. Parking was secure and underground.
In closing the staff at your 1-888 phone number was great. She (I think her name was Iris)was patient when I was booking the room and tried to answer all of my questions. A pleasure to deal with and I would gladly recommend your website and this hotel to others.
