Many guests felt the suites were clean, spacious and well-appointed. Guests appreciated the full kitchen, balcony, washer and dryer and separate bedroom found in all suites. Overall, guests found the suites to be somewhat of a home away from, with enough amenities to make for a comfortable long-term stay.
The staff were complimented by many guests for being very friendly.
Many guests thought the hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of Guildford Town Centre (major shopping mall) and public transit. Some also noted that the King George SkyTrain Station and Trans-Canada were both a short drive away (10 minutes or less), allowing for direct access to Burnaby and Vancouver.
The Bad
Although many reviews used for this analysis were positive, some negative comments focused on the need for upgrading certain aspects of the rooms.
Many guests felt the mattresses and linens needed upgrading. Complaints were made about the hotel using bedspreads rather than duvets and that the pillows and mattresses (particularly on the sofabeds) were old and uncomfortable. A few noted that some TVs were older style and that furnishings needed to be updated.
