The Good
This hotel was well loved by its guests, many stating that they planned to return, or were returning guests.

It was the perfect place to get away and relax. The suites with full kitchens allowed for a home-away-from-home for many guests who loved to sit out on the balcony, overlooking the lake with a glass of wine, or watch the sunrises and sunsets. Guests enjoyed cooking in the guest BBQ areas and many enjoyed meals at the restaurants on site.

One guest who had stayed for his 20th time said of the location, "Located on one of the only protected lakeshore areas, it is unique. Short or long walks can be had with lovely surrounding ambiance." Other recent comments from guests: "The lake is incredible and it's located in wine country." "A waterfront walkway leads to great beaches, a fishing pier, a playground, and spray park. Awesome for kids!" "Close to Peachland (Bliss Bakery),Bottleneck Drive wine tour, Giants Head Mtn (spectacular view),15 min to Penticton, spectacular views in Naramata."

Guests spoke highly of the rooms. They were very clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchens. Guests loved the views and often said the property was beautiful. One recent guest said, "Walking around the hotel is a treat in itself at night."

The staff were well reviewed, helpful and accommodating to guests. One recent guest said, "Staff at the hotel were very responsive to our enquiries."

Guests that came with dogs felt the hotel was very dog friendly, with treats and bowls upon arrival. Others said there were lots of kid-friendly activities.

Guests enjoyed renting kayaks, jet skis and other boats and found the rates reasonable. The outdoor pool area had a spacious deck with lounge chairs for sun bathing and plenty of towels for guests.

The Bad
The hotel had some weak spots.

One, was that parking could be limited during peak season, as guests all having their own cars would meet up at the resort and share a room. (It seems that the hotel has reserved one parking spot per room now.)

Food options on site were limited and there were no cheap options for a quick breakfast in walking distance. Also the restaurants were not open certain days even in high season. Some guests drove to Summerland or even Penticton for dining.

The beach in front of the hotel was small according to some and sometimes taken over by ducks (the area is a wildlife reserve).

Occasionally guests missed having a small grocery store on site for basics such as milk and bread.

Occasionally guests complained about the air conditioner shutting off or not cooling below 20 degrees celsius.
