The Good
This hotel provided a safe and warm place to rest when travelling through, or visiting nearby areas, and guests were pleased with several aspects of the stay.

Many seemed pleased with the location. It was quiet, but still near to the highway with easy on and off access. Although it was not an easy walk to restaurants in the downtown core, guests could drive there in 5 minutes, and there were also some convenience stores, in gas stations nearby, for snacks.

Although Dennys was just average to some, several guests were pleased to have an on-site restaurant for the sake of the convenience it provided.

The staff were definitely well liked here overall. They were quick to answer requests, they were knowledgeable about the area, good with directions, pleasant and friendly.

Guests who stayed in newer or remodeled rooms were generally pleased with them and had comfortable beds.

Occasionally guests spoke of the pool and exercise room being well kept, the pool being large, that there was a great bar on site, free Starbucks coffee offered, and lots of parking for all sizes of vehicles.

The Bad
This hotel did have a down side and many guests were vocal about it.

Guests who were not that pleased with this hotel usually got older rooms, and they were displeased with a lack of maintenance and poor cleaning. Complaints along this line consisted of: dirty carpets, old cigarette and mildew odours, worn amenities, poor mattresses, a broken leg on a bed and old AC units.

Some guests also directed their comments against the housekeeping staff who were described as negligent.

Many complained about the lack of an elevator and no help with heavy luggage.

Some also felt the rooms were small and cramped, with small bathrooms.

Noise was an issue for some guests who complained of noisy AC units, loud bathroom fans and plumbing sounds. One guest warned not to stay near the exit as the door slammed continuously as guests went in and out. Another guest had a poor night's rest next to the laundry room.

A few guests complained about the pool being very cold and one guest was displeased that those eating inside Dennys could view the guests swimming.

Guests spoke frequently of value, and many felt the hotel was overpriced. One guest said, "This was the most expensive place we stayed at on our trip and we enjoyed it the least."

Other complaints were: no free breakfast, hot tub was small, poor channel selection, no pay-per-view movies, and guests booked in advance for rooms together but the hotel did not reserve them and family ended up in separate buildings.
