Luxury condos with 9 ft ceilings & fireplace, outdoor pool & hot tub, 3 restaurants
Revelstoke has a lot of dated and expensive hotels. After comparing prices and amenities offered, I think the very highly-rated Sutton Place Hotel has the most to offer for the dollar. The Sutton Place Hotel, a ski-in/ski-out luxury hotel, is located right at the Revelstoke Mountain Resort. It appeals to skiers and snowboarders in the winter months and bikers and vacationers in the summer. Guests highlighted the professional and friendly staff, the well-equipped rooms with great beds, fireplaces, views and beautiful decor, and the location for being right on the hill. Guests enjoyed dinners and drinks at the on-site restaurants and breakfast at the cafe on the hill.

It's about a 10-minute drive from downtown and a 5-minute drive from the airport.

This is a smoke-free, all-suite accommodation offering air conditioned condo-style units with 9-foot ceilings. All units come with a 42" flat screen TV, an ipod dock sound system, full kitchen with stainless steel Miele appliances (includes cook top with no oven), living area with a sofabed, dining table, gas fireplace, a clothes washer and dryer, a 3-piece bathroom with a soaker tub and rain shower, and a private balcony with tables and chairs.

The hotel features a heated outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, ski and bike storage and three on-site restaurants (including on-mountain dining at Mackenzie Outpost). Freebies include: Wi-Fi, parking and coffee in the lobby.

What to do in Revelstoke?

Revelstoke's motto is "Work Hard, Play Hard". I suppose those who laid the CP Railway and blasted through the mountains to make Rogers Pass or built the Revelstoke Dam would certainly qualify for the Work Hard part and I imagine the modern day skiers and snowboarders would qualify for the Play Hard part!

Tourism is an important part of Revelstoke's economy and skiing has emerged as the most important attraction to the area with Revelstoke getting more of its fair share of snowfall.

Downtown Revelstoke: is graced by the Columbia River to the south and west, and bordered by Mount Revelstoke National Park to the north. Summer activities include golf, fishing, hiking, high ropes, mountain biking, rock climbing, paragliding, aerial touring and water sports including white water rafting.

Revelstoke airport: sandwiched between Williamson Lake to the east and Upper Arrow Lake to the west, is only 7 minutes from the city centre.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort: on Mount MacKenzie is located just a 5-minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes from downtown and offers lift, cat, heli and backcountry skiing.

Glacier National Park: is about 36 minutes northeast of Revelstoke.
