Overview
Ramada Limited Quesnel is located in the downtown core two blocks from Quesnel and District Twin Arenas and three blocks from Highway 97. The hotel offers free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking as well as a fridge and microwave in every room and an indoor pool. These features may appeal to those wanting a downtown hotel featuring complimentary services and extra amenities.

This 100% non-smoking hotel offers 46 rooms over three floors. Standard room features include a TV, a desk, an iron and ironing board, air conditioning, a hair dryer, a coffeemaker, a microwave, a mini-fridge and either one or two queen beds. Upgraded rooms may feature a king bed and/or a balcony. Free Wi-Fi and local calls are available in every room. Pets are allowed for an additional $10 per night.

Amenities at this hotel include an indoor pool, a hot tub, meeting rooms and a guest computer. Complimentary parking and continental breakfast are available to all guests.

There are several shops and restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel and West Park Mall is a 5-minute drive away.  Quesnel and District Musuem is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The shores of Dragon Lake can be reached in 15 minutes by car and Troll Resort is an hour and 15-minute drive away. The Good
Reviews used for this analysis were mixed, with positive comments focused on the rooms, staff and complimentary breakfast.

Many guests felt the rooms were clean, spacious and well-appointed with a fridge and balcony in some rooms. However, some said the bathrooms were dirty (see below for more details).

The staff were complimented by many guests for being friendly and accommodating. That being said, there were several complaints about communication problems and rude customer service when dealing with certain staff members (see below for more details).

Although a few guests complained that the breakfast food was stale and limited in quantity, many guests felt that the continental breakfast was filling and had a good selection including hot items. Overall, guests felt that the complimentary breakfast added value to their stay.

Reviews used for this analysis were mixed, with negative comments focused on the quality of the hotel.

Many guests expected the hotel to be of better quality, a few stating that the marketing photographs did not match the actual state of the rooms. Guests complained of dirty bathrooms, loud and ineffective air conditioning units, cigarette odours and dark rooms. Overall, guests felt the hotel was not very well-maintained and that the both the housekeeping and customer service could have been better.

"Great value & Comfortable"
"I would have to say I was surprised to read some of the reviews on this website and was a little weary however since I had stayed at this place years ago I decided to take my chances, and I'm glad I did.... The staff was prompt & friendly which made the check in process very easy. It appears that the new management has made many improvements. The room I was given (#301) was very spacious and quite. I would recommend this place to others and compared to other Ramada I've stayed at the room rates are very reasonable. PS: I also noted that they are pet friendly (only certain rooms) but this is good to know, next time i can bring along my pooch :)"

"We arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm after a long 6 hour drive and had to stand outside, in not too friendly of weather and ring a buzzer for 5 minutes before someone got out of bed to turn on lights and unlock the door to let us in. We were terribly disappointed in the hotel, being called a "Ramada" was a mystery to us. It looked like a very old motel that some one decided to through up a Ramada sign and call it that. The bathroom was dirty all down the wall behind the door. We switched on the lights and found that they did not come on, after investigating we found that the cord had a short in it and we had to wiggle it to get it on. We were not at all impressed with our stay and would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone. We have stayed in 3 times as nice hotel for the same price if not less."

"The swimming pool for the kids was very small..nothing like the pictures shown on-line. The pool floor was dirty. I canceled the booking once i saw the old, smelly, in need of work room. I went to cancel it and that is when the Manager said Oh you can have a different room( was a better room). I was judge becauSe I was with children and MY tatoo was shown. We were not given a good room until I went down and complained. I said no and went to the Sandman..it was more but worth the money compared to this place. For $85 a night in a small town, this place was no deal. For $20 more ...stay at a very clean, comfortable and very friendly staff at the Sandman."

"There is no one maning the desk after 11pm. I called to confirm room after that and got no answer. Shocked I went to hotel anyways as I had no place to go. They had a buzzer and got up and checked me in to a non smoking room (I had requested and paid for a smoking)that was a nice room. The next day I moved to a smoking room no problem but it was not as nice a room, dirty carpets and bathtub stained with cigarette burns, lightbulbs burns out and lamp shades melted. I found nicer hotels in town for next time at a better price."

"the hotel wasn't bad,but I have definitely stayed in better.They need to check their laundry as a couple of the pillow cases had a hard crystalized substance on them. as a place to stay for one night it isn't bad. the maid service needs some improving."
