The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's staff, location and rooms.

Numerous guests were pleased with the level of customer service they received. They characterized the staff as accommodating, welcoming and helpful with dining and sightseeing recommendations. A couple of reviewers did mention the host not being there upon arrival, however.

The hotel's location was praised by many lodgers, who described it as easy to find and close to Alaska Ferry Terminal, shopping, restaurants, hiking trails and the Museum of Northern British Columbia. One patron noted, "I did a little hike in the forest directly behind the house (easy access by a path directly beside the house). This is a lovely location. It's also an easy walk to "town for stores/restaurants".

Several travellers enjoyed their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be spacious, clean, quiet and well equipped, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. A couple of reviewers had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).

The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few complaints about the rooms.

Although the majority of reviewers enjoyed their quiet, spacious and comfortable accommodations, a few guests voiced some complaints.

A few guests thought the B&B was a little tired, and a couple of reviewers noted cleaning omissions such as baseboards and an overhead fan being somewhat dusty.

It seems that sometimes a staff member was left in charge and failed to keep up with changing the rooms, cleaning and even managing the reservations, as one guest found themselves without a prepared room when they arrived late at night from the ferry.

Another guest felt that although the room was nicely appointed, it could use more casual seating for reading or viewing TV without having to sit on the bed.

A couple of guests noted that stairways to the North Suite were rather steep, especially for guests carrying luggage.
