Overview
Overlooking the harbour and about a 2-minute drive from Prince Rupert's city centre just off the Yellowhead Highway, Pillsbury Guest House (the first house built in Prince Rupert) is geared towards travellers who are looking for a centrally located accommodation with a free breakfast, free Wi-Fi and easy highway access.

Each of the smoke-free guest rooms offers free Wi-Fi and a shared bathroom. Rooms with an en suite sink and toilet are also available. There are no accessible rooms.

Hotel amenities include an on-site beauty salon, a garden, free parking, packed lunches and a free three-course breakfast. Pets are permitted upon request (please contact the hotel for details).

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's breakfast, hostess, location and rooms.

Numerous guests praised the breakfast, describing it as yummy, plentiful, hearty, delicious and beautifully presented. One patron noted, "Colleen, the lady who runs it is lovely and sang a few Edith Piaf songs after she presented me with the best breakfast I have ever had in a B&B".

The hostess was the source of many compliments by reviewers. She was characterized as friendly, helpful, attentive and charming.

Several lodgers were pleased with the location. They described it as central and close to the harbour, Alaska Ferry Terminal, the Skeena Train Station, restaurants, shopping and Cow Bay.

The accommodations were enjoyed by several travellers. They described their rooms as spacious, with great ocean views, good Wi-Fi and comfortable beds. A few patrons had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).

A few guests complained of steep stairs leading up to their second-floor rooms. They reported having to carry heavy luggage up a few flights of stairs, which they found to be an inconvenience.
