This hotel is located in downtown Prince George and is ideal for business travellers who need to access nearby offices or guests who are looking to explore the downtown area on foot. This hotel also caters to guests looking for a full-service property and provides the following services on site: a day spa, hair salon, cakerie, jewelry store and flower shop.

All 155 rooms and suites are smoke free and include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a 32" flat-screen TV with cable, a coffeemaker, a desk, an iron and an ironing board, a hair dryer and central heating. Rooms are configured with 2 double beds, 1 or 2 queen beds or 1 king bed. Room extras include a sofabed, a seating and dining area, a mini-fridge, a fireplace, a second TV, a safe, a walk-in shower, a soaker tub, bathrobes, 1.5 bathrooms and a balcony. 

Free parking is available on site. Pets are permitted for an additional fee of $15 per night.

On site, the Coffee Garden Restaurant offers casual family dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Shogun Japanese Steakhouse offers sushi and Teppan-style cooking. Winston's Dining Room offers pub fare in the evenings. Room service is also available. Guests will find many restaurant choices within a 6-minute walk of the hotel, with White Spot and Tim Hortons just across the street.

Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, a hot tub, a fitness centre, a sauna, a business centre, an ATM, safe deposit boxes, dry cleaning, free newspapers, a liquor store and meeting and conference space. This hotel has an elevator.

The Parkwood Place, which features retail shopping, a grocery store, a drug store, a department store, and a movie theatre, is 6 minutes away on foot. The Greyhound bus station is a 7-minute walk away. The University of Northern British Columbia is 13 minutes away by car, while the Prince George Airport (YXS) is at least a 17-minute drive. The Good
Many guests who reviewed this well-maintained property found the hotel to be comfortable and they praised several aspects of the service.

Guests found the rooms comfortable, quiet and nicely renovated. They spoke of the new walk-in showers, extra plugs for electronics, comfortable beds with nice linens and appreciated having shades that cut out light completely.  One recent guest mentioned the spaciousness of the suite and the enjoyment of having a balcony. 

The staff made a great impression on guests. They were praised for being very friendly and responsive to requests, and were described as professional and providing service that was above and beyond.

Guests found the location convenient and central. They liked being in walking distance of shopping and restaurants. One guest put it well, "This hotel is close to everything, easy access on a quiet street."

Guests enjoyed dining on site. Guests and families with children found dining at Shogun fun and interesting as they were able to watch the food being prepared. Some found Winston's a great place to have a drink and relax. And one guest wrote, "The food is very good, good selection and nice to be able to have a glass of wine delivered to my room too!" 

The indoor pool and fitness rooms added value. Guests reported them to be very clean and enjoyable.

The Bad
There was not much in the way of negative feedback found for this hotel in recent reviews consulted for this report.

The occasional complaints with regard to the rooms were: room rates expensive, rooms were small, new walk-in showers spilled water through the doors and bulky pillows.

Some had noise disturbances with: the elevator, noisy neighbours, a bathroom fan and the hum of fluorescent lights.

Occasionally guests complained about the area, and said there were a few sketchy people around at night.

A few guests said the pool area was a bit dated, although clean and functioning well.
