This 100% non smoking hotel offers 53 rooms over two floors. Standard rooms include a TV, a desk, a hair dryer, air conditioning, a fridge, a coffeemaker and either one queen bed, two queen beds or one king bed. Suites sleep from two to six people with one to three queen beds and/or bunk beds. Some rooms and suites feature a kitchenette. Free Wi-Fi and local calls are available in every room. Up to three dogs are allowed for an additional $15 each per night.
Amenities at this hotel include an indoor saltwater pool, a hot tub, guest-operated laundry and a BBQ area. One complimentary parking spot is available with each room and free continental breakfast is available to every guest.
There are several restaurants and a grocery store within a few blocks of the hotel. Both Cherry Lane Shopping Centre and Lougheed Super Centre are a 10-minute walk away. South Okanagan Events Centre and Penticton Trade and Convention Centre are about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Okanagan Lake can be reached in 5 minutes by car while Skaha Lake is a 10-minute drive away. Apex Mountain Resort is a 50-minute drive from the hotel. Some guests appreciated the central location of this hotel and found it to be a short drive to downtown or Lake Okanagan. Having restaurants and shops within walking distance was also considered a convenience.
The staff were complimented by many guests for providing friendly and helpful customer service. Guests also mentioned that they were accommodating and promptly addressed requests.
Although there were a few complaints about the pool being too cold and the hot tub too warm, many guests thought the pool area was a nice feature and mentioned that it was clean and inviting. The BBQ area was also a highlight for some. Both of these features were particularly appreciated by those travelling with kids.
Many guests felt that the hotel was old, rundown and really needed some upgrades and deep cleaning to spruce it up. Guests suggested that new flooring, TVs, paint, linens and bathroom fixtures were needed. Although some thought the rooms were clean overall, several guests complained that the walls, bathrooms and flooring needed a deep clean.
Although some guests thought the continental breakfast was decent and enjoyable, many felt that it had a limited selection and could be improved with better quality fruit and hot items.
