Overview
Best Western Plus Inn at Penticton is located on the south end of town, a 10-minute walk from Skaha Lake Park and the shores of Skaha Lake. This hotel offers both an indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool, a courtyard area and playground, which may appeal to those travelling with children. The complimentary breakfast and fridge and microwave or kitchenette in every room may also make it a good choice for those wanting the option of self-catering.

This 100% non-smoking hotel offers 66 rooms over two floors. Standard room features include a TV, an iron and ironing board, a table and chairs, a hair dryer, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a microwave, air conditioning and either two double beds, one or two queen beds or a king bed. Upgraded rooms may feature a desk, a sofabed and/or a kitchenette. One and two-bedroom suites feature a queen bed and TV in each bedroom, a living room with sofabed and a kitchen. A two-level suite is also available with a balcony and jetted tub. 

The Good
The majority of reviews used for this analysis were positive and focused on the rooms, the staff and the amenities.

Many guests felt the rooms were spacious and well-appointed with a fridge and microwave or kitchenette every room. Some also thought the beds were comfortable and that the courtyard view from some rooms was pleasant. However, other guests felt the rooms were starting to show their age (see below for details).

The customer service was a highlight for many guests. Staff were described as being accommodating, friendly and personable, making guests feel as though they were at home.

Many guests appreciated the pool areas and thought the courtyard and playground were well-kept and a nice feature to have during good weather. Several guests mentioned that theses amenities were great for those travelling with kids. Many guests also liked the continental breakfast, describing it as better than your average hotel spread.

The Bad
Although the majority of reviews used for this analysis were positive, some negative comments focused on the age of the building and housekeeping.

Some thought that the rooms were beginning to show their age and were a bit worn around the edges. Guests mentioned that some rooms were dark and drab and could use updated bathroom fixtures and furniture. No elevator between the two floors was also a nuisance for some.

Some guests thought that the housekeeping was lacking. Several reviewers noted that their rooms were not ready upon check-in. Others felt that daily housekeeping was not very thorough and that some rooms could use a deep clean.
