The Good
Many reviews read online and used for this report were positive and focused on the rooms, the staff and the location.

Many guests enjoyed their rooms and said that they were clean, nicely decorated and well-appointed with a fridge, LCD TV and comfortable beds.

The staff were complimented by many of the guests for being friendly and helpful.

Some guests appreciated that the hotel was within close walking distance of the lake shore, a mall and a park. A few guests did feel that the downtown area was a far walk from the hotel, suggesting that a car would be better for visiting that area of town.

The Bad
Although many reviews used for this analysis were positive, some negative comments focused on noise and the lack of on-site amenities.

Many guests complained about noise from passing trains, noting that tracks were close enough (about 100 m) that the building shook as the trains went by blasting their horns usually at 1 am in the morning. Some guests were also disturbed by people in adjacent rooms and hallways being heard through what were described as thin walls and a lack of carpeting on the floors.

Some guests felt the hotel lacked value because of there were virtually no on-site amenities like a restaurant, pool or business centre. Although guests have access to such amenities at the hotel's sister property, some were disappointed that it was almost a kilometre away.
