Overview

The Good
The majority of the reviews used for this analysis were positive and focused on the hotel's rooms, value, and its staff.

Many guests felt the rooms were clean and well appointed. Guests commonly thought the rooms were spacious and included comfortable mattresses and nice linens. Although some guests situated in rooms near the elevator or stairwell felt they heard a lot of noise from guests coming and going, most found their stay to be quiet.

Many guests felt the value was good compared to other hotels in the area. For the price paid, guests appreciated receiving free Wi-Fi, parking, and continental breakfast as well as standard in-room features such as a mini-fridge and a safe. Guests also felt that the building being newer than many other Nanaimo hotels also added to its overall value.

The staff at the hotel received compliments from many reviewers. Many guests felt the staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. A few mentioned that the staff went above and beyond and were quick to address problems that arose.

The Bad
Although the majority of the reviews used for this analysis were positive a few negative comments focused on the area immediately surrounding the hotel.

Although many guests found the location to be convenient to local attractions and transportation hubs, a few thought the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel was a bit seedy. A few guests questioned the security of hotel parking because of the surrounding neighbourhood and the fact that it was an open, unmonitored lot.
