Located in South Nanaimo, the Days Inn Nanaimo Harbourview offers a variety of room configurations and the only indoor pool of all hotels in Nanaimo. These features make it popular with families and group travellers who make use of its larger rooms, amenities, and complimentary breakfast. Its location on the Trans-Canada Highway also makes it a convenient stay for those travelling by car.

This 100% non-smoking hotel offers 79 rooms and suites over 2 floors. Standard rooms include a desk, a hairdryer, a coffeemaker, and a TV as well as free Wi-Fi and local calls. Rooms come with two queen beds, or a double and a queen bed, or king or queen bed with a sofabed. Studio rooms featuring kitchenettes are available with a queen bed and a sofabed. One-bedroom suites accommodate 4 to 8 people and come with either a queen bed and a set of bunk beds or three queen beds and a sofabed. Room service is available and pets are allowed in certain rooms for an additional charge of $15 per night.

Many guests complained that this hotel was showing its age and was in need of updating. Some said that the carpets were stained, some room fixtures were broken or damaged, and some air conditioning units were not working or were loud. A few guests commented that there was a musty or bad smell in their room and/or they felt they needed to have the window open to get fresh air. Some guests also felt the exterior and lobby of the building were not very inviting and there was no place to sit and relax in these areas.

A few guests felt that their rooms were noisy with sound travelling in from the hallways and other guest rooms.

The hotel’s location in South Nanaimo was considered a negative point by a few guests who felt that it was not close enough to any points of interest and that it was a long walk (about 30 minutes) to downtown.
