Overview

Most reviews used for this analysis were mixed. Some positive points focused on the staff and the price.

Although there were a few complaints that the staff were indifferent and unhelpful, some guests felt they were friendly and did their best to accommodate guests.

Most guests agreed that this was a budget hotel and that the price reflected that. Some felt it was a good option for the price, considering the area and nearby alternatives. A few felt the inclusion of free breakfast also added to the value.

Many guests complained that their room was not very clean upon arrival. Areas behind doors and under furniture as well as bathrooms and fridges were all called into question. A few also noted that their rooms received little or no housekeeping during multi-night stays.

The hotel also received many complaints of being rundown. Guests noted stained and smelly carpets, broken TVs, mould in the bathroom, noisy bathroom fans, cigarette burns in linens, flat and worn pillows and bad odours. A few complained that in-room phones did not work and that some door locks were broken or not working properly. The building itself was thought to be neglected and one reviewer noted that even the landscaping was overgrown and ignored. Overall, many felt the hotel was dingy.
