The GoodGuests that stayed at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort generally enjoyed their stay. The hotel's location and its staff both received a lot of compliments.
The location was well-liked as it was very central to Kelowna. Several guests were happy to be close to either the downtown core or to Okanagan Lake. One guest, for example, said that the hotel had a "good location right on the waterfront." Occasionally guests also indicated that they liked that the property was close to restaurants in the area.
The staff at the hotel were practically unblemished by guest reviews. The hotel's employees were commonly described as "friendly" and a couple guests called the staff "excellent." According to one guest the staff made the hotel "a superior place to stay" while another guest called them "extremely polite and helpful."
When describing the hotel, numerous guests said that it was a comfortable property and the beds were specifically mentioned by multiple guests. Some guests also indicated that they liked the hotel's facilities, including the pool and spa.
The Bad
Some guests did not entirely enjoy their stay at this hotel and complaints usually focused on the price of the services at the property and the perceived age of the hotel.
Several guests felt as if the property was "overpriced" from several different perspectives. For example, some guests indicated that the room rates were high, others said the restaurant was pricey, and occasionally guests complained about other costs like fees for local calls, parking, and Internet. Some guests were general and one guest, for example, said the "hotel (was) expensive for the quality of it."
Many guests felt as if the hotel was old or in need of improvements. One guest said that the "carpeting in the room could use a bit of an update” and another guest said that his/her “room...surely needed some upgrading for the rating that the hotel had received.” One guest said the hotel was "comfortable" but that it was "getting a bit shabby" and another guest was a bit stronger in his/her view and said the property "desperately (needed) a renovation."
Occasionally guests had concerns with the sizes of the rooms at the hotel. One guest felt as though the rooms were advertised as bigger than they actually were and a couple other guests mentioned small showers. For example, one guest said the "shower door entry way was only about 20" wide and seemed small for a larger person. It could only be accessed sideways.”
Priceline.com guest ratings averaged to 8.2 points out of 10 and the site had 9 reviews.
Booking.com guest ratings averaged to 8.4 points out of 10 and the site had 88 reviews.
Expedia.ca guest ratings averaged to 4.3 points out of 5 and 86% of guests recommended the property.

"Good but not great."
"The hotel is beautifully located, a bit older but refurbished well. Very clean. A little long to wait at check in and crowded by the too small pool area which also was not well staffed."

"They were in the midst of updating some of the rooms and as a result ours was missing the towel rack and toilet paper holder.
They did give us free parking for the very slight inconvenience. They provided trun down service and the restaurant was very good."

"We asked at the time of booking for a king sized bed. When we arrived at the hotel, we recieved two queens. When we asked for another room we were told we could not change because we did not book the room directly through the hotel?
I'm not sure what other people think but I would expect more from being charged $200 a night? ( Where I come from it's still a lot of money ).
Not to mention I would expect a little bit more than to be put on the same floor as they allow dogs and pets. The rooms were not sound proof enough to keep the noise of the barking dogs out. Again, I expect more from a $200 a night room."

"For the amount we paid - and we got a deal through the internet - the room was very small and so average, the bathroom could have been from motel 6 and for such a large hotel it only had one restaurant with a below average breakfast buffet."

"I used the valet parking lot to park my car (a Porsche 911 so I wanted it out of the regular lot). There must have been 40 stalls in that private lot. 1/2 the stalls were full of mattresses (old? new?) and used furniture - it looked awful and made a bad impression. The hotel looks like it must have been a great hotel at one point but it does need a complete makeover. For the price - I expected alot more in comparison to paying that kind of moeny elsewhere. The hotel restaurant was terrible (we ate breakfast only - once - and did not want to risk anything else)."

"This was pricey, $300.00+ for one night, but it's the summer right! Also paid to much for a hamburger and fries...$12.00+. If your looking for the resort life this is it, right on the lake. The pool looked small for the amount of people at the hotel, but again the lake is right there. I would not holiday here, as there are cheaper places in Kelowna, however if money is not a problem for you, fill your boots."
