Overview
Located just off the Trans-Canada Highway and about a 9-minute drive from Kamloops' city centre, the Trans Canada Motel is geared towards road travellers who require an economical pet-friendly stopover hotel with extended kitchen amenities, an outdoor pool and easy highway access.

Each of the hotel's air-conditioned guest rooms comes equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Rooms with a kitchenette and a separate bedroom are also available. The hotel does not offer wheelchair-accessible rooms. 

The hotel also offers a business centre, guest laundry, BBQ facilities and free parking. Small pets are permitted upon request free of charge. 

Although an outdoor pool is advertised on the hotel's website, it had been indefinitely closed at the time this editorial was written.

Valleyview Square offers shopping about a 6-minute drive away, while Exhibition Park can be found 8 minutes away by car. British Columbia Wildlife Park is an 11-minute drive from the hotel and Kamloops Airport (YKA) is roughly a 25-minute drive away. (All distances and travel time estimates: Google Maps)
