Located on the Trans-Canada Highway, the Skyline Motel Kamloops is popular among families and those travelling by car looking for an overnight stop along this popular route between Vancouver and the Rockies. It is also situated about 3 km (roughly 6 minutes' driving time) from the city centre.

This non-smoking hotel has 38 air-conditioned guest rooms, all of which offer free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Additional hotel amenities include an indoor heated pool, a sauna, and a whirlpool. Parking is free, and accessible rooms are available upon request. Pets are allowed for $10 per pet per night.

The Skyline Motel Kamloops is within a 10-minute drive of Tournament Capital Centre, Thompson Rivers University, and Hillside Stadium. Other nearby attractions include Lake City Casino (roughly 6 minutes' driving time) and Aberdeen Mall and Cineplex (roughly a 10-minute drive southwest of the hotel).

While this hotel received some positive comments among the reviews consulted for this analysis, most of the reviews were negative and focused primarily on the hotel's rooms and customer service.

Most reviewers had complaints about the rooms' cleanliness and rundown state. They described filthy carpets, dirty toilets and sinks, worn-out beds and bedding, old towels with holes in them, dirty walls and doors, mould in the bathrooms, and rickety furniture. Several odours were also described, such as cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room, the smell of urine, and an overpowering smell of air-fresheners. 

Some guests complained about the service in the hotel. One guest reported that after he saw the condition of the room and decided not to stay, the staff refused to cancel the reservation. It should be noted that the hotel has a no-refund policy. Another guest described running out of toilet paper and it not being replaced.
