The Good
Guest opinion was mixed overall, but some guests found this a clean budget hotel sufficient for an overnight stay.

Guests found the location central. It was handy to public transit, the Trans-Canada Highway, convenient to restaurants, an easy walk to downtown and Riverside Park and close to the hospital.

Guests were usually pleased with the staff. They were described as polite and friendly. One guest said they held their cane for them until they could return and pick it up.

Guests were usually drawn to the motel for its lower room rate which they felt was affordable.

The Bad
Reviews were mixed overall for the hotel and guests were often not satisfied with their stay.

Recent room complaints were: dirty/stained bedding, uncomfortable bed room was a bit too old and worn, room was small (could not fit pack and play), room was dirty and smokey, dust was thick, only one towel for 2 persons, housekeeping did not show up until 3rd day, mould on shower curtain, insect bites obtained at the motel (May 2016), and AC was ineffective.

Some were dissatisfied with the service at the front desk. They said they were often away from the front desk and sometimes they were unavailable to provide a check in or deal with noise issues in the middle of the night. One guest requested a different room as the room given smelled and was dirty, with the toilet not working, and claims that the front desk just shrugged their shoulders and did not provide a better room. Others said the did not intervene to lessen noise from other guests even when they were present.

Some did not feel secure at this motel. Guests described a group of men drinking outside their room and the inability to get the front desk to pick up the phone or deal with the unnerving situation. Others said there were questionable activities in the area, (which was also described as somewhat sketchy) and long-term renters at this motel.

Noise was an issue for some. Complaints included noisy AC units, noisy bathroom fan, footsteps above, hallway noise, guests in nearby rooms, traffic noise and sirens.

Guests found the free breakfast poor and occasionally guests said it was non-existent. It was described as having toast, bagels and cereal but one guest said the staff will make you a waffle.
