Several guests commented positively on the hotel's location, describing it as close to grocery stores, restaurants and Thompson Rivers University. The hotel's close proximity to highway access (5-minute drive) was also mentioned by a few reviewers.
The front desk staff were complimented by some patrons, who characterized them as very friendly and helpful. Some of these same reviewers mentioned making requests to the staff which were taken care of right away.
A few guests remarked on the view of the town and surrounding mountains they had from their balconies at the hotel. They described their views as "spectacular" and "gorgeous".

Many reviewers found the level of cleanliness within the hotel to be unsatisfactory. These guests described their rooms as having cobwebs, old food in the fridge, dust, dirty bedsheets, dirty bathrooms and dirty drinking glasses.
Several guests were disappointed with the rundown and dated amenities and decor in their rooms. These reviewers gave examples such as a broken bedside light, stained mattresses, threadbare towels or no towels in the bathroom, mould on the bathroom ceiling, an extremely loud bathroom fan and a broken air conditioning unit.
