Some found the hotel to have an average room, good for sleeping while passing through and some also used it for an extended period while working in the area. These guests typically judged the rooms to be clean but dated.
Other guests were not as comfortable with the level of cleanliness found in their rooms and cited stained bedding, old linens, a dirty wall, carpets that smelled of urine, a nasty tub, a broken alarm clock, rooms that reeked of smoke, poor lighting and a hard mattress. More than one guest just summed it up by saying the hotel was somewhat dated and worn.
Heating and cooling did not always work well and several guests were upset with rooms that were either too hot or not warm enough. Other common complaints concerned poor Wi-Fi, a poor selection of cable channels and a muddy parking lot.
Guests gave mixed reviews about the free hot breakfast with about equal numbers liking and disliking it.
Value was a contested point as well with some finding it good value and others finding it not worth the price paid.
A couple of guests who booked non-smoking rooms were given smoking rooms instead as the non-smoking rooms had been given to others before they arrived.
Noise was a factor for some, who cited the on site bar, trucks leaving in the early morning, loud night crews slamming doors, walking and showering at 2 am and thin walls to neighbouring rooms as the cause.
