Overview
This secluded lodge property offers three lodges. With on-site Catskiing tours and rooms with no TVs or telephones, this property is well suited for guests looking for a peaceful ski getaway.

Rooms in the Taramack Lodge include soaker tubs and showers, while the lodge houses a spa, a fitness centre, a 60-seat dining room and a 3,000 bottle wine room. Rooms boast views of the mountains. 

Rooms in the Cedar Lodge feature a balcony or patio and soaker tubs, while the lodge itself features a living room area with a fireplace, a hot tub on a covered deck and a yoga studio / conference room. 

The Red Eagle Lodge also features an outdoor hot tub, but the rooms in this lodge to do not include a soaker tub or a balcony. However, the lodge itself boasts decks that offer views of the mountains, forest and lake.

None of the rooms at this property are equipped with a phone, computer jack or a TV. However, free Wi-Fi is available and there is a cell phone signal booster on site. All rooms have en suite bathrooms.

Skiing at Island Lake is on all powder trails that begin at 7,000 feet. Ski runs traverse bowls, rolling slopes and tree runs. Ski outing consist of eight to 12 runs or 12,000 to 15,000 vertical feet, depending on the ability level of each group. Hiking is available in the off-season.

All room packages include three meals daily at the on-site dining room and this property has two on-site bars. 

Other on-site amenities include free parking, guest-use iPads, professional photo and video services, wedding services and a gift shop. There is an on-site spa, housed at Taramack Lodge. Please note that the lodge does offer ski and snowboard rentals, but does not rent boots. 

Pets are allowed in some rooms, and are provided with bowls and beds. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Please contact the hotel directly to discuss the pet policy in further detail.

Fernie is about 20 minutes away by car and features golf, shopping and dining. The Canadian Rockies International Airport (YXC) is an 85-minute drive away. (All driving time estimates: Google Maps)
