This hotel is situated on 5 acres of land, and promotes itself as a special event destination. Offering landscaped gardens, banquet rooms and on-site catering services, this property is well suited for weddings, parties and corporate retreats.

This property is smoke free and all rooms include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a TV, a mini-fridge, an iron and ironing board, a coffeemaker and a hair dryer. Select rooms also include some of the following amenities: vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, a patio or sun room, a clawfoot tub or a canopy bed.

Free parking is available on site and pets are not permitted. 

A free breakfast is served daily and the hotel has an on-site lounge that is open daily from 4 pm to 9 pm. 

Other on-site amenities include a computer kiosk, on-site catering and wedding and event space.

McCauley Point Park and Saxe Point Park, both of which are on the waterfront, are accessible within a 10-minute walk. The most complimented aspect of this property was the character and atmosphere of the hotel. One reviewer said that this hotel was a "beautiful old character home", while another guest complimented the "old varnished wood, narrow stairs, big beams and small doors throughout". Several guests praised the landscaping and one reviewer said that the grounds were stunning. However, there were a few complaints about rooms (see below for more details).
