The Good
Reviews online showed mixed opinions of the hotel.

Some guests felt the hotel was serviceable with friendly staff and offered a reasonably priced room that was well equipped and decently clean.

Some were pleased to have drive-up access to their rooms, winter plug-ins and free parking.

Several reviewers found the location convenient to the highway and downtown attractions by car. Others mentioned enjoying a pub (Rockwells) and Mr. Mikes Steakhouse which were both reachable on foot (3 to 10 minutes on foot).

Guests appreciated that this property was pet friendly and found a park behind the motel for walking their dogs.

Digital TV, free Wi-Fi and a free basic breakfast also added value for some guests.

The Bad
Guests who were not pleased with their stays usually found the hotel too dated and not cleaned to their expected standard.

Recent cleanliness complaints: shower head covered with black mould, undefrosted freezer of mini-fridge covered in mould, odour in room, rotting food left in mini-fridge, alarm clock filthy dirty, carpet disgusting, and bathroom tiles had dirt in between with water oozing out of them when stepped on, the bed sheets were not changed, floors were nasty, tub was not white, towels not white, housekeeper just refolded used towels and placed them on the tub still wet, mattress was disgusting and had dirt and stains all over it, and there was layers of dirt and dust on almost everything.

Other recent organizational/maintenance issues: shower head too low, water was either scorching hot or very cold, sink tap sprayed water on your clothes, rock hard pillows, springy mattress, toilet did not flush well, coffee pot and mini-fridge was located in the bathroom, too few electrical outlets, and bathroom floor tiles improperly set with no grouting between them and no sealant.

Other recent complaints: staff nowhere to be found in the morning, day old continental breakfast, lots of truck noise from highway, overpriced, and pictures online are deceptive and did not depict room.

Bed bugs were cited in June/July 2010 and in June 2012 but no more cases have been mentioned to date (January 2016).
