Econo Lodge Inn and Suites Cranbrook is located on Highway 3/95 across the street from Tamarack Mall. It offers no-frills accommodations for those travelling on a budget. These features may appeal to road travellers wanting an affordable hotel for a short stay.

This hotel offers 72 rooms (some of which allow smoking) over two floors. Standard room features include a TV, a hair dryer, a desk, a coffeemaker, a fridge, a microwave and one or two queen beds or one king bed. Suites may sleep from two to five people and feature a kitchenette, one or two queen beds and, in some rooms a, sofabed. Free Wi-Fi and local calls are available in all rooms. Pets are allowed for an additional $22 per night.

Amenities at this hotel include a business centre and guest-operated laundry. Ricky's All Day Grill is on site, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Free parking is available to all guests.

There are several restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel and the downtown area is a 5-minute drive away. Cranbrook RecPlex, home the Kootenay Ice WHL team, is a 5-minute drive from the hotel while the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel is about a 2-minute drive away. The Good
Most of the reviews read for this editorial were of a positive nature.

Many guests felt that the hotel offered basic, clean accommodations and a good shower for a decent price, while a few noted that it was more affordable than many other nearby options. They considered it to be a good stopover motel.

Some guests appreciated the hotel's location as it was easy to find, offered easy access to the highway (one guest said it was the closest motel in Cranbrook to the highway) and was within walking distance of several restaurants (including Tim Hortons), a shopping mall and a liquor store.

Ricky's All Day Grill the on-site restaurant, was enjoyed by some guests. It was convenient to have a restaurant on site and guests enjoyed their breakfast and the food served there. Many were pleased with the 10% discount offered for the restaurant by the hotel.

Many guests said the hotel's staff were pleasant and friendly. One guest appreciated the hotel staff accommodating him and his motorbike with a drive up room.
The Bad
Some guests offered critique of the motel.

A couple of guests complained about the free Wi-Fi one complaining that it was not powerful enough to stream videos and the other saying it dropped the connection continually.

A couple of guests referred to an odour in the rooms, one could not identify what it was and another said it was a curry smell from the restaurant on site.

Some guests were displeased to have to pay extra for breakfast and felt there were better value options in Cranbrook.
