The GoodReviews for this analysis were somewhat mixed. Positive comments focused on the on-site restaurant and lounge, the beds and room extras.
Many guests who ate at the on-site pub and the on-site restaurant were very happy with the food, the service and the prices. The restaurant was specifically mentioned as being a good choice for dining-out in Cranbrook.
Some guests felt the mattresses were comfortable, affording a good night's sleep. A few also noted their rooms included duvets and a lot of pillows, which they felt added to the overall quality of the beds.
Many guests felt the rooms were clean and tidy and a few noted that the rooms were bright with nice decor. The inclusion of a fridge and microwave in every room was also appreciated by some. In general, many felt that the rooms were well-appointed for the price paid.
The Bad
Although reviews used for this hotel included many positive points, several focused negatively on noise from the highway and the age and maintenance of certain areas of the building.
This hotel is located right on a main highway which made for many noise complaints. Guests who stayed in rooms on the road side of the building were particularly bothered by traffic noise and suggested that future guests request a room on the opposite side of the building.
Although many guests thought the hotel had a large and attractive front lobby, some felt that other areas of the building were in need of updating and maintenance. Guests suggested that the hallways were dark and in need of new carpets and paint and that the hot tub and pool areas were in need of maintenance. There were also some complaints that these areas needed cleaning.
