The Good
Reviews used for this analysis were mixed, with positive comments focused on the location, certain amenities and the staff.

Many guests like the hotel's easy to access location and its proximity to a SkyTrain station, restaurants, shops, Lougheed Mall and IKEA. Some felt that the hotel offered good access to downtown Vancouver by car and the rest of the Lower Mainland.

Some guests appreciated that the hotel had an indoor pool and that many rooms included an fridge and microwave.

The restaurant on site received a lot of praise from guests, who typically found the food delicious.

The Bad
Negative comments focused on the hotel's need for upgrades, better cleanliness, and problems with reservations, noise, Wi-Fi and bed bugs.

Many guests felt that hotel needed to make some upgrades including carpet, mattresses, furniture, bathroom fixtures, shower curtains and TVs. Mould in the bathrooms and musty odours were also mentioned and a few guests complained of the sheets not fitting the mattresses.

Booking errors seemed to be all too frequent and more than one guest complained of incorrect charges on their cards.

Although some guests found the staff friendly, others found them discourteous at times and unhelpful in resolving issues or answering requests made by the guests.

Several guests had issues with the Wi-Fi. Some said Wi-Fi did not work in the rooms, but only in the lobby.

Some guests were disturbed by the noise of large trucks in the parking lot, a noisy bathroom fan, noisy AC units, loud guests, children running in the hallways, traffic noise and loud housekeeping personnel in the hallways.

Many guests felt that the housekeeping could have been better. Dirty bathrooms, missing coffee and sugar packets, dirty kitchen floors, stained carpets and poor vacuuming were some of the complaints. Several guests also noted that their room did not appear to be clean upon check in.

There were bed bug complaints found online: one in May 2013, one in July 2014, one in October 2014, two in August 2015 and one in Sept 2015 and one in October 2015.
