The staff were complimented by many guests for being friendly and helpful. Some mentioned that they were very personable and went out of their way to be welcoming and attentive.
Many guests appreciated that there were several restaurants in the immediate area. Guests also appreciated that the Lougheed SkyTrain Station, several shops and Lougheed Mall were all within walking distance. Some felt that the hotel's location provided easy access to Vancouver via car or SkyTrain and was convenient for doing business in both Coquitlam and Burnaby.
Some guests thought that the hotel offered good value for the price they paid. The on-site pool and restaurants along with the inclusion of complimentary Wi-Fi were all felt to have added to the overall value.
The Bad
Although many reviews used for this analysis were positive, there were several negative points that focused on the hotel's need for upgrades, bad Wi-Fi connection and poor housekeeping.
Some guests felt the hotel could use upgrades. The fitness centre, linens, pillows, carpets, heating and cooling system, furniture, fixtures and bathrooms were all areas that were pointed out as needing to be replaced, repaired or updated.
Some guests complained that the Wi-Fi connection was slow and, at times, difficult to connect to.
Many guests felt their room was not as clean as they would have liked. Dirty bathrooms with mildew or mold in the bathtub was a common complaint, as was dusty furniture and stained linens.
