The GoodThe majority of reviews used for this analysis were positive and focused on the rooms, the staff, the location and the amenities.
Many guests felt that the rooms were clean, spacious and well-maintained. Some thought the beds were comfortable and that the rooms were quieter than expected, although there was some different opinion on this (see below for details).
The staff were complimented by many guests for being friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Some guests felt that the hotel was centrally located and offered easy access to the surrounding area including Coquitlam, Burnaby, New Westminster and Vancouver. Having a SkyTrain station and mall nearby was also a plus.
The central tropical courtyard was a highlight for some. Guests mentioned that it was unique and created a nice ambiance. Guests appreciated the pool area and also enjoyed the food at the on-site restaurants.
The Bad
Although the majority of reviews used for this analysis were positive, some negative comments focused on noise and the layout of the hotel.
While some felt the rooms were quiet, others were disturbed by noise from guests in adjacent rooms, the courtyard area or outside corridors.
Some guests did not like that some rooms in the hotel were interior facing, with the only windows looking inwards toward the courtyard. One also mentioned that it was an inconvenience that some rooms were only accessible from outside, requiring one to walk outdoors to get to the lobby or pool area. The lack of elevator was also a problem for a few.
