The Good
Reviews used for this analysis were mixed. Positive reviews focused on the the rooms, the location and the value added by the complimentary full breakfast.

Many guests of the hotel felt the rooms were comfortable and clean. Some appreciated the patios and ocean view although a few guests felt there was little privacy on the balconies due to short partitions separating neighbouring balcony spaces.

The location of the hotel was considered a positive attribute by many guests. The waterfront location, proximity to hospital and short distance (2 km) to downtown were all noted in reviews.

Many guests also appreciated the complimentary full breakfast, some stating that it was more than your typical hotel continental breakfast. It was commonly felt that this inclusion added to the value of their stay.

The Bad
Reviews used for this analysis were mixed. Negative reviews focused on the age and state of the building as well as staffing and room charge issues.

Many guests felt that the hotel was old and rundown. Complaints were made about the paint, linens, carpet, windows with broken seals, dripping taps and broken furniture in some rooms. A few guests noted that some walls and ceilings had cracks and/or water damage. Many guests complained about a lack of air conditioning and some noted that there was no elevator between the 4th and 7th floor of the hotel.

Although the complimentary breakfast was appreciated by many, there were several complaints of short staffing in the restaurant resulting in long wait times for service and food.

A few guests made note that they had been overcharged on their hotel bill. Amongst these comments there was no follow up as to whether the overcharge was rectified by the hotel.
