Formerly the Sawridge Inn & Conference Center, the Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre is situated less than a 1-minute drive from Highway 2. Offering multiple on-site restaurants, including a sports bar and lounge, this property is well suited for guests who prefer to access entertainment and dining on site.

Both smoking and non-smoking accommodations are available. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, a 42" flat screen TV with pay-per-view movies, free local calls, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, a work desk and air conditioning. Standard rooms are furnished with two double beds and one queen bed. Executive rooms, furnished with one king bed, also include a bathrobe, a cordless phone and a CD player.

The Princess suite is furnished with one king bed and also includes a marble jetted tub, bathrobes and Victorian-inspired decor. Jacuzzi suites are equipped with one king bed, a two-person jetted tub, a wet bar with mini-fridge and bathrobes.

Free parking is available on site and pets are permitted for $15 per night.

There are multiple on-site dining options. A free continental breakfast is served daily from 5 am to 11 am. The Hearthstone Grille serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Ridge Tap House is a sports bar with billiard tables and TVs that serves lunch and dinner. Fairways Lounge features 25 VLT machines, online keno and free Wi-Fi. It serves light meals and drinks. Room service is also available.

Other on-site amenities include a fitness centre, a sauna, banquet facilities, a business centre and an ATM.

Many positive reviews were offered by recent guests for this hotel, in the reviews sourced for this editorial, with regards to the staff, the on-site dining, the renovated rooms and the location.

Guests found the location central to amenities in town and conveniently close to Highway 2. Many enjoyed being able to dine on site at a choice of restaurants, and it seems that the hot breakfast buffet and dinner buffets were a real hit with locals as well as guests.

The most common complaint from guests was concerning those rooms that were still being rented out that have not seen the renovations. Guests complained about saggy and uncomfortable mattresses, dated furniture and bathrooms and old carpets.
