"Exactly as expected; very adequate by all accounts"

"I was looking for value based accommodations while attending a three day conference in Red Deer. The Super 8 met or exceeded all my needs and expectations. Accessibility and proximity to the conference site as well as city amenities and businesses were excellent. The room was large and clean, the bed comfortable and all furnishings, though slightly dated, in top notch condition. Hot water was plentiful, easy to adjust, and the shower/bath excellent without leaking and/or spraying / slopping water all over the bathroom area. While this may seem a minor issue, I as well as many others have stayed in much more costly "luxury" accommodations that could not meet this most fundamental need.... Hurray for good plumbing!! My streetside room suffered somewhat from noise generated by redneck diesel pickup truck mufflers, or lack thereof, although I can't say I heard much from the street after midnight and the rest of the motel was extremely quiet; no problem soundly sleeping the night through. Staff was very friendly and able to respond to all questions and requests and the morning breakfast quite substantial for selection, fresh and ready to go before 6:00 am, which was much appreciated. Overall, the Super 8 Red Deer is not particularly luxurious or outstanding in form, but the room appoitments were really excellent from a functional sense, all amenities including the dining area and exercise facilities more than adequate. As such, the Super 8 offered excellent value, a warm and comfy retreat, and no real surprises, which is very much appreciated when spending a few nights hundreds of km away from home."

"Cleanliness was outstanding"

"Although not a new construction the housekeeping and modernism was very apparent. The reception people were also quite helpful and smiling individuals"

"Clean, friendly and perfectly located to the hospital"

"Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was not outstanding but well presented and more than adequate. Less than a block to the hospital was ideal. More expensive than other hotels in the category, but location wins over price."

"We will definitely stay there again."

"Extremely pleasant and helpful staff; wonderful free breakfast (wide variety of food); very competitive prices. There were 4 of us in two rooms and we all agreed that we were pleasantly surprised by all of the above noted items. The location was great for us, we loved the layout of the room, the comfortable beds, etc."

"Poor communication & vanity; good location, clean, quiet"

"For visiting the hospital the hotel is perfectly located but parking can be an issue because of the rotating clientele at the Tim Horton's next door. Although we arranged a slightly late (12 noon) check-out at check-in the room was entered at 11:25 (without a knock or call) by house-keeping, I was called at 11:30 to ask if I was going to check-put "SOON", and house-keeping paid another visit at 11:35 but this time knocked. I left at 11:45 informing the deck of the situation but was told, without compassion, that they had no knowledge of this. Other than street noise, the hotel is very quiet. The staff were, in general, friendly and polite and everything was very clean. The sink unit (vanity) was very cramped for one person never mind two."
