The Bad
Several of the reviews were positive for this hotel, based on the reviews used for this analysis, but there were a few complaints about noise and aging decor that surfaced frequently.

A number of guests said that while this hotel's proximity to Hwy 2 was convenient for travelling purposes (a 2-minute drive away), it meant that there was a lot of street and traffic noise. Some guests were also disturbed by noise from guests in neighbouring rooms. They said that much of the noise happened during the night time, which disturbed their sleep.

This hotel was showing its age and was in need of some major updating, according to guests. They suggested that the decor needed to be addressed.

It seemed that a number of guests did not get the rooms that they had requested when they made their reservations (i.e. requests for rooms together, requests for suites with kitchenettes). A few guests were unhappy with staff because of discrepancies between quoted prices at the time of reservation and the amount that they were actually charged.

Given that this hotel was touted as "budget-friendly," according to guests, and it had various shortcomings, a number of guests felt that the amount that they paid for the rooms was too high. They felt that they could have paid a similar amount and stayed at a newer hotel with more amenities.

There were a few peripheral comments about spotty Wi-Fi connections.
