"I arrived at 1 p.m. and was told my room wasn't ready. This seemed reasonable. I asked the desk clerk (I believe it was actually the manager) whether I could just change my jacket in the room while it was being cleaned. She said no. I asked if there was a hospitality suite or another space where I could change - again "no". She suggested that I ask some of my business associates who apparently had already checked in whether I could use their room to change. I
then asked for the location of the nearest washroom and changed in there. I returned to the hotel at 6:00 p.m. and discovered that I had been given a smoking room even though I had requested a non-smoking one. After the "service" I got earlier I didn't bother to request a change.
The price was very reasonable and the facility is quite nice, so perhaps one shouldn't expect much in the way of service..."
