"I have always enjoyed the Nisku Inn. I have been traveling to Edmonton for many years and will continue to stay there as long as they keep up the good work.
The front desk staff could be just a tab bit friendlier and more "welcoming" to the guests......bigger smiles and a cheery "Welcome to the Nisku Inn".....
Regards, Bob"

"Our experience was unfortunate. I was travelling with my two children 6 and 10. Air Canada's routing caused us to have an overnight stop in Edmonton. I had picked the hotel because it had an indoor pool. It looked like a great way to fill the children's morning.
The location and shuttle service related to the airport were excellent but the hotel sits in the middle of no where. The only source for outside food is a gas station. Upon arrival the fountain and pool and the layout of the internal courtyard almost made up for the poor ventilation system in the room and the lingering smell of cigarettes. The automated grand piano was a nice touch combined with the sound of the fountain and the beds were comfortable. Still our sleep was restless with the stagnant air in our internal room.
Our biggest disappointment came in the morning after an unimpressive trial of their Eggs Benedict. The pool had been closed for maintenance due to the repair of windows above the pool. We were not informed in advance nor was the staff apologetic. We noticed when we were checking out they responded to our complaint by tapping a note to the reception desk - so much for friendly service.
We can only describe their service as casual and the breakfast poor. My kids were starving. They normally finish their food at breakfast. They left half of their food on the plate and I had to buy them another meal at the airport.
Two other hotels were on the same shuttle service. If I ever have to overnight in Edmonton again, I will be booking in at one of those hotels."

"Staff at the reservations counter were wonderful and friendly. They allowed me to use their computer so I could get my boarding passes for my flight and they stored my lunch in their fridge - that is service!"

"Only complaint that I have is that it is a very noisy hotel. When a person pulls a wheeled suitcase along the corridor it is very loud. Voices carry very easily. Heard the piano until very late at night. Nice music but kept a person awake. In my opinion a good sleep is a necesity when leaving and flying out on the plane."

"Our room was facing a rest area. The floors were noisy when someone walked or pulled their suitcase on it. The bar area wasn't comfortable and hard to find a server around 4:00 pm. We had our meal there and the waitress was good and the meal was ok. Pre-booked our room and when we arrived they were giving it to someone else. Close to the airport but we needed a better sleep."

"Stayed at this hotel because it was close to airport and had up to 7 days parking while away was great. We were actually out of town for 10 days but the hotel didn't charge us extra. Vans for pick-up to and from airport were quick and regular and the drivers were friendly and helpful.
Your service (hotel reservations) could be more useful though; I had questions that your operators couldn't answer so I had to call the hotel directly (eg. park & ride info, and directions to hotel)"

"Things were great at the Hotel, all though after speaking with many other commuters I was told it is a bit pricier than some of the others. It didn't offer any type of continental breakfast with the over night stay...but it did offer a $5 and $7 breakfast to go option which takes orders until 11 p.m. but unfortunately I was not informed of this and didn't realise until after the fact that this service was offered. This was the only down-fall to my stay at the Hotel, otherwise it was perfect. The shuttles ran quite freequently and if they were not there, the hotel paged one and it arrived within minutes."

"found this hotel from an internet search. The fact that there was a cost to canadianhotelguide.com was not clear until after the booking was made. I could have done this booking for less cost myself. I think you are misrepresenting yourself. I had no problem with the hotel and liked the proximity to the airport and the free shuttle. It worked for me."

He was some upset."
