Motel 6 is my winner for good value in Medicine Hat. It has one of the highest guest ratings and one of the lowest room prices. Not only is this hotel well-reviewed online, but rooms are well-equipped with mini-fridges and microwaves, offering even more affordability for guests who want to order in, or create their own lunches and dinners. Guests liked their clean and comfortable rooms, and the staff who went out of their way to help. Motel 6 has easy highway access, only 2 minutes from the Trans-Canada Highway. Both the airport and downtown are about a 12-minute drive away. For added value the hotel supplies free Wi-Fi, continental breakfast, parking, 24-hr coffee, cookies and iced tea in the lobby.

The friendly and accommodating Ramada Limited Medicine Hat is my second choice for good value in Medicine Hat. It came out the cheapest overall for Medicine Hat on the three days I compared rates, has decent guest scores online and offers a host of great amenities on site. Guests highlighted the breakfast, the clean pool and rooms and the location for its easy highway access. It's 2 minutes from Hwy 1 and 6 minutes to downtown and the airport. Guest rooms look inviting with modern bedding and have extras like mini-fridges and microwaves, along with the usual room amenities.
