The Bad
Guests frequently issued complaints about the Travelodge Edmonton Airport hotel. Those complaints usually pertained to the hotel's rooms, the staff, or to the breakfast.
In regard to the room several hotel patrons said that they thought that it was just plain dirty. Exact guest descriptions varied but time and time again, guests complained about something that related to room cleanliness. For a couple guests this was just an offensive smell but others were more specific.
For example, one guest described finding hairs under his blankets. Another guest said there was a towel under his sink that he thought was stained. Another guest said that the housekeeping missed one night in his/her stayover service. The complaints went on with another guest saying that he slept in his clothes because his room was so dirty. One adamant guest called his/her hotel room "disgusting."
The staff were not condemned so harshly however they still did not receive too many compliments. In fact many guests had something poor to say about their interactions with staff, people who were described as uncaring at times or uncourteous.
Breakfast did not impress many guests either as some complained about simply not liking it or not having enough selection. One guest went as far as to call it a "joke."
