Kananaskis is a small village in Alberta, situated on Hwy 1A (Bow Valley Trail), on the west shore of the Kananaskis River. There's only one hotel currently open for business in the Kananaskis area (about 30 minutes from the village), and it's called the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis.

The Delta Lodge is a highly-rated and family-friendly alpine resort situated amid the Canadian Rockies that has much to offer visiting guests. Brewster's Kananaskis Ranch Golf Course (an 18-hole public course), is located 30 minutes north of the hotel and the Nakiska Ski Resort is a 6-minute drive north of the hotel. The Delta Lodge is about an hour's drive from Banff.

Guests said that the property was very clean and beautifully decorated. They praised the staff for being knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. Many guests enjoyed meals at the various on-site restaurants and found the spa and pool and eucalyptus steam room relaxing.

Rooms are smoke free and feature a flat screen TV, a coffeemaker, kettle for tea, a mini-fridge, windows that open, a desk and chair, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and bathrobes. Room extras include air conditioning, balconies, and suites with separate living areas or bedroom, jetted tubs, lofts with vaulted ceilings and fireplaces. Signature Club rooms come with included hot breakfast and early evening hors d'oeuvres. The hotel has accessible rooms and offers some pet-friendly rooms as well.

Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a dry sauna and steam room, a fitness centre, a business centre, creative centre for children, babysitting services, spa services, on-site shops, guest laundry plus bicycle and canoe rentals. Guests have a choice of surface, underground or valet parking and the resort features six restaurants along with room service. The Guest Activities Team is available to help you plan and book activities. Guests will also find access to tennis courts, basketball, a baseball diamond, golf, hiking, seasonal hockey, tobogganing and ice skating, horseback riding, mountain biking, a playground and a fire pit.
