"Very friendly at the desk and helpful. Room were big, clean and had a comfortable bed, after snowboarding all day that's important. Had a lovely stay at the Tonquin Inn."

"Would defiantly not reci"
"I booked online for a 3rd floor room as I have stayed there last year & the room was ok. We were put on a 2nd floor room right over the restaurant kitchen, needless to say the room was hot, smelly and very very noisy from the sounds of the kitchen & all the fans, motors, etc from the freezers etc. We did have an air con in the room which was left on all the time as it was so hot but it would shut off & on all night when it reached a certain temp. We also though the sheets on the bed had been used and the beds just remade, the sheets were very very creased, so stiff with starch that I couldn't lie in them, the carpets were filthy, the bathroom was so small & dirty I didn't want to spend anytime in it. The paint in the bath was peeling off, the grout round the shower door was sticky, dirty & mouldy. I stayed at the Tonquin 5 weeks earlier with my sister as she had booked it and we had the same if not worse experience with a room on the ground floor. The only reason I booked again this time is because Jasper accomadation was full & I at least thought if I requested a 3rd floor room I would get it as that one was ok & I did book well in advance. I will defiantly not be staying there again nor recommending it to anyone. To top that off the pub restaurant we went to eat at was equally as bad & I would not eat there again."

"We would recommend a stay if the whole hotel was refurbished"
"We were "upgraded" and I hate to think what our original room would have been like! The carpets were VERY badly stained, we kept our shoes on all of the time. The light in the bathroom didn't work, we had to use the heat lamp for light, the towel rail was off the wall. The whole room needed the floor corners cleaned, especially behind the doors."

"Dissapointment."
"I have stayed at the Tonquin many times and this was the first time I had any complaints.
1. Very noisy with kids running along the upper balcony until late.
2. Mould on the ceiling above the bath.
3. Coffee pot malfunctioned twice with the result we had hot water all over the counter and the floor.
4.Power went out 3 times when we tried to use a hairdryer in the bedroom. We did this because the outlet in the bathroom said razors only. When we called maintenance they removed this label and everything was fine after that.
5. Toilet very loose and wobbly in the bathroom."

"Very nice"
"Very clean and comfortable. The only down side is that the room was a bit small. But bed was very comfortable. Staff could not have been better. We had a minor problem with the bathroom light and staff came and fixed it right away. Would stay there again."

"Definitely enjoyed the indoor pool and hottub and the outdoor outtubs as my grandsons were 5 and 9. They loved the pools.
The breakfast coupons for Saturday and Sunday were a bonus as the boys were able to choose what they wanted and it saved on the pocketbook."

"Very small rooms. The $10 breakfast was really good. The 3rd floor rooms were very hot each day as there was no way to use the air conditioner. We left 2 windows open all day, but by days end, the room was very hot again."

"We returned to our room the second day at 4:00 p.m. and the room had not been cleaned yet. The lady showed up around 4:30 so we left while she cleaned it out.
Temperature control on the showers was not favorable. Could not take a hot shower just a warm shower.
TV's were too low and could not see when sitting in bed.
The only good thing was that the room was cheap."

"Ruined New Years"
"The room was sooo small and cramped, the Parking was Terrible, there were no face cloths to be found. The Price was steep, there was no ski deal this time. One good thing I will say is the bed was VERY comfortable. Also upgraded Flat screens.
I was also told prior to using my Visa for a reservation, that absolutley nothing would be charged to my card, and they took a whole night 132.00, this was right at christmas time, I may have needed that money. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!"

"Great hotel value for the money"
"Outdoor hot tubs were very nice, well maintained. Housekeeping did a good job and were very helpful. Wish there was a TV in both of the rooms of the suite. Oven worked well, fridge worked well, tub had no plug."

"Great hotel walking distance to every thing down town. Clean friendly and great staff. Would recomend to this hotel. The prices in Jasper in season are very high and this hotel is one of the most reasonable. What you get is the best bang for your dollar."

"Best value for your dollar"
"With the hotel located just outside of the downtown core on the main road, it was fairly quiet at night. The family suite was clean and had a good layout. Pool, jacuzzi, and hot tubs, clean and easily accessible. Excellent value for your dollar."

"The indoor pool area was not very clean and kids that should have been supervised were not. The rooms were very clean and so was the outdoor hot tubs and sauna. We had a family suite and were missing a tv in the bedroom as we could not watch after the kids were put to bed."

"the pool and amenities could be open later so you have time to enjoy them after the attractions of Jasper.

"Were a little disappointed one day as only one of the 3 hot tubs was in use and was too full to get in.
