The Good
Many guests liked this hotel and enjoyed their stays. They highlighted spacious rooms, good meals and drinks on site and a free shuttle to town.

Guests liked the cozy decor of the hotel. Although many were not that impressed with the exterior, matters changed when they saw an impressive atrium, with fireplace and plants at the centre of the hotel. There were rooms that faced the atrium and rooms that faced the exterior of the hotel. Most reviewers preferred rooms facing the exterior, as they were able to open balcony doors to get air and saw impressive scenery, including elk. Rooms that faced the atrium were said to have windows that didn't open and could be subject to more noise from the Karaoke bar below, unnatural lighting and a sense of less privacy overall.

Rooms themselves were considered to be clean, spacious and nicely renovated. Many were pleased with the comfort of their beds.

Many reviewers enjoyed dining on site. All the venues were mentioned for the quality of the food and some made mention of the craft beers on site.

Staff were considered to be attentive and accommodating by many reviewers. They were mentioned frequently in the reviews, and definitely left a positive impression with guests, many who planned to return for the hospitality given.

Although guests typically found the town site a little far to walk (at 20 minutes or so), many were pleased that there was a free shuttle to town. Getting back entailed a $7 cab fare or a walk that could be completely dark for a block or so up to the hotel.
The Bad
Some negative feedback surfaced in the reviews.

Several guests did not enjoy the atrium facing rooms due to a variety of reasons. They could not get fresh air with windows that did not open, lacked views to the outside and were more susceptible to noise from guests at the restaurants or bars.

With regard to the bathrooms, a few guests thought they could use an update and several complained of the showers going from hot to cold suddenly.

Some guests said the main downfall of the hotel was its distance to the downtown nightlife and restaurants.
