Overview
The Marmot Lodge is located on the west side of Connaught Drive in Jasper, Alberta inside of Jasper National Park. It is one the first properties that a motorist will see when entering the town of Jasper from the north.

The Marmot Basin ski hill is approximately 22.7km from the Marmot Lodge while the Yellowhead Trail is just minutes away (Google Maps).

The property is owned by the Mountain Park Lodges, a company that owns a few other hotels in Jasper including the Amethyst Lodge, the Lobstick Lodge, and the Chateau Jasper.

The pet friendly hotel features an on-site restaurant, a lounge, an indoor heated pool, a sauna, free parking, and coin laundry. There are 107 guest rooms at the property and each has an exterior entrance (ie. motel style instead of hotel style).

Room amenities include refrigerators, cable television, and wireless high speed Internet. Air conditioning, kitchens, and gas fireplaces are available in some rooms however not all rooms have these amenities.

Check in time at this property is at 4pm while check out time is at 11am.

The Good

Numerous guests who stayed at the Marmot Lodge in Jasper, Alberta seemed to be happy with the property. Guests frequently paid compliments to the rooms at the hotel and to the staff.

The guests who were happy with their rooms typically described them as clean, well kept, and comfortable. Multiple guests also said that they thought their rooms were large.

The guests who expressed their approval of the staff at the hotel usually described them as friendly or helpful. However multiple guests paid the staff much heavier compliments. Some guests said the staff were "great" or that they provided "exceptional" customer service.

There were other compliments for the Marmot Lodge that were more peripheral but that still had multiple adherents. Some guests seemed happy with the hotel's restaurant while other guests said they found the property to be quiet. Perhaps related to the quietness, some guests said they liked that the property was located a little ways from Jasper's shopping area.

The Bad

Guests who disliked the hotel were not numerous however there were a couple areas that received some attention from concerned patrons.

While guests generally liked their rooms, some guests specifically said that their beds or pillows were uncomfortable. On one occasion, a guest said that he/she found his/her bed to be "hard."

There were also some problems with the Internet at the hotel. Occasionally a guest complained that the Marmot Lodge's signal was inadequate. One guest said that it was weak while another guest said that they were not able to work with it at all.

A couple guests also seemed moderately inconvenienced about having to walk outside in order to access the property's indoor pool.
