The Bad
Several guests who stayed at this hotel did not fully enjoy their stay and there were complaints on a multitude of topics.
Some guests mentioned that the hotel was quite far from Jasper, a complaint that might be provoked by the marketing of the property. The hotel is in Hinton but the property is sometimes referred to as the "Days Inn Hinton - Jasper" despite the fact that Hinton and the town of Jasper are about 80km apart.
The breakfast at the hotel was free however the quality and selection appeared to be nothing special as some guests were not impressed. One patron called the breakfast "lame" and another indicated that there weren't enough items to choose from. Guests that accepted the breakfast hardly seemed overly happy with it as one guest called it "basic" and another said it was just "ok."
There were many complaints about unwanted smells at various points in the hotel. Some guests identified the smell as cigarette smoke in their rooms however a few guests mentioned different sources. One guest said the hotel was near some kind of industrial plant and another guest complained about the smell of mold.
Occasionally guests complained about the Internet. One guest said there was none and another said that the connectivity was poor.
