"This is a good hotel especially for families because of the pool. We stay here every time we drive out of Yellowknife to southern destinations which is at least once per year and often more often.
I did have one more negative experience when we stayed on July 23rd. I took my grandson to the pool and sat in one of the chairs. It was over by the hot tub. Some clorine must have splashed onto the chair because when I took my shorts off later I noticed they had white dots all over one side and little holes had formed so there had to have been some corrosive substance splashed on the chair. Because this stuff burns perhaps you could alert the maintainance staff to be sure all the spills are whipped up.
Otherwise, a great place."

"We were disappointed in a couple of things during our stay, we had booked this hotel as it was advertised as having a hot tub (my father just had shoulder surgery and the heated water releives much of his pain during travelling) and also that there was a business center with internet. As a business owner I thought I would be able to stay in contact via the interenet. The hot tub had a broken pump and the staff did not let us know (we found out later ouselves) that there is a public pool with hot tub facilities nearby which my father could have utilized had we known. I understand that mechanical problems do happen but the staff comment of " Yeah the pump is broke -- have no idea when it will be fixed" Was very off -putting. Then, the computers weren't connecting to the interenet and when staff was notified the reply was " I don't know anything about computers-sorry" and no effort was made to find someone who could repair the problem. On the positive side, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent even though the juice machine was broken. The lady that was looking after the breakfast area apologized profusely for the broken machine. As I will be travelling to High Level frequently to check on a property I own there, I am not sure I will stay at this hotel again. I really felt that if I had asked for some compensation for the amenities not working that I would be ignored by the front desk people. I didn't want to come off as someone who is "just bitchy" but I really felt that we did not get what we had paid for on this stay."
