"We must've got the last room in the hotel! We were in a tiny room tucked behind the elevator, and paid a lot for it - probably the regular rate for a single queen bed, but definitely not worth the money. I also recently stayed in a suite in Yellowknife, and paid $20 less for 3 rooms. Before you book with this hotel, ask if the room you're reserving is near or behind the elevator! Also, there was a fire alarm while we were there, due to a fire in the kitchen, and the hotel staff were noticeably absent - no one walking around outside to reassure us, make sure everyone is okay, let us know the smoke was coming from the restaurant... and it was 10 pm, so several people were in pj's."

"The cost of the hotel was astronomical! For $175.00 a night you would expect a little more than just a smallish hotel room with almost no amenities. The front desk staff were very good. The maid service was fair but I didn't think we would get any at all they were so late coming in the day (about 2:30pm). We quite enjoyed the pool. The attached restaurant had exceptionally poor service....we were never asked how our meal was....we weren't asked if there was anything else we needed. I didn't see a waitress from the time I ordered my meal, until I stood waiting at the check-out for our bill so that I could pay and leave. When you work in a service industry, isn't that what you should be providing....service? I would definitely not recommend this hotel to friends, nor, would I stay there again."

"I found the hotel to be clean and quiet. Nice to beable to enjoy a good quiet evening and not hear noise from other rooms or in the hall. The staff that we dealt with were very helpful and friendly.
Yes I will stay again."

"The quality of the beds could have been better...they were very hard.
It was quite noisy with children thumping up and down the halls late at night and early in the morning.
The staff were very friendly and gave excellent directions when I called when I got to town."

"Very disappointed in Denny's Reataurant.....very,very poor food and service. I realize it is hard to find employees at this time but Denny's is usually one of our favorite places for Breakfast. We could not eat our meal!! Also one point, when I booked online I was under the impression our room had a "Jacuzzi" in it. I purposely booked the room as that is what I was led to beleive. It did not. The room was still very nice, but disappointed that it did not have a jacuzzi."

"The room was nice, except the carpet was in pretty bad shape (cigarette burns, stains, etc.). I thought it was too pricey for the size and quality of the room. The lobby area and overall appearance of the hotel was quite nice, and the staff I encountered were friendly and polite."

"Only one comment, I checked out the morning of Oct 7th (615am), this front desk lady needs to be more friendly. I've dealt with her before back in July when I checked in, she's not rude, but not as friendly as the rest of the sandman people."
