The staff were described as friendly, attentive, and professional by many reviewers. One guest said that a front desk agent went "above and beyond" when he opened the gift shop, after hours, to supply cold medication. Another reviewer described the customer service as "exceptional", while one guest found the staff to be "genuinely" caring.

Many reviewers complimented the hotel, in general, for its architecture and furnishings. One guest described the hotel's appearance as "elegant". A few reviewers also described the views of the Saskatchewan River valley from the hotel and guest rooms as pleasant, while one guest called the views "unparalleled". 

Several guests thought that their rooms were clean, well-maintained, quiet, and spacious. A couple of reviewers also specifically mentioned that their beds were comfortable.

The location was found, by several reviewers, to be convenient for accessing downtown attractions and business offices on foot.

The food quality, served at the on-site dining options, was also complimented by several guests.
