The location of this hotel was found to be convenient, by several guests, for accessing West Edmonton Mall and nearby amenities. 

A few guests described their rooms as spacious and clean. A few reviewers also stated that they were likely to stay at this hotel again in the future or recommend this property to others. 

Many guests thought that the hotel appeared old and neglected. Reviewers described dirty carpeting, peeling paint, broken bathroom tiles, burn holes in the furniture, jerky elevators, old televisions, and inconsistent climate control. One guest said that the property had "lost its sparkle" and was in need of renovations.

A few reviewers also complained about unpleasant odours in their room and these guests also mentioned that they requested to change rooms because of the smell. A couple of other guests found the smell of air freshener over-powering in some areas of the property, such as the lobby and hallways.

A few guests complained about noise disturbances. One reviewer said that patrons from a nearby pub could be heard screaming and swearing from his room. Another guest found the in-room air conditioner loud and disruptive, while another reviewer was disturbed in his room by sounds from neighbouring rooms.

A couple of guests mentioned that the hotel property was large and they were frustrated by the lack of signage for directing guests to different amenities within the hotel.
