This property is about a 3 minute drive from the nearest Queen Elizabeth Highway or Gateway Boulevard interchange. The Hampton is situated among other hotels in an industrial area of south Edmonton. A few restaurants, such as Wok Box, Original Joes, and The Canadian Brew House can be found within a 5-minute drive of this property.

This pet-free property is also 100% smoke-free and offers 100 units comprised of rooms and suites. All units include free Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, alarm clocks, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, free weekday newspapers, lap desks, and work desks with ergonomic chairs. Free parking is available on site.

A free buffet breakfast is served, daily, from 6:00am - 10:00am.

The Good
Among the reviews used for this analysis, positive reviews greatly outnumbered negative reviews and several guests stated that they were likely to return to this hotel again in the future or that they would recommend this property to others.

Many guests described their rooms as clean, well-maintained, and spacious. Many reviewers also said that their beds were comfortable. A couple of guests also thought that their rooms were spacious.

The location of this hotel was complimented by many guests. Reviewers thought that the property provided convenient access to major highways and nearby big box shopping. A few guests also mentioned that the location was convenient for accessing the Edmonton International Airport (YEG).

The food quality at the free breakfast buffet was praised by many reviewers, specifically the selection of hot items, such as waffles, sausages, and eggs. A couple of guests found the bagged "to-go" breakfasts to be an added convenience. 

A couple of guests complimented the well-equipped, on-site, fitness facility.
The Bad
Although positive reviews outnumbered negative reviews, among the reviews used for this analysis, there were a few concerns.

Several guests complained about inadequate soundproofing in their room. Reviewers described hearing conversations in neighbouring rooms and doors slamming in the halls. A couple of guests also said that the in-room air conditioners emitted a loud humming noise.

A couple of guests complained that their guest room doors did not work properly. These guests said that their doors would not close easily from the inside and that closing their doors from the outside required using their key-card.

A couple of reviewers complained that breakfast items (at the free buffet breakfast) were not sufficiently replenished and resulted in long waits for food. 

Other isolated complaints included: small parking lot, lack of water pressure in guest bathrooms, no pay-per-view movies available, and unpleasant odours in a guest room.
